April Updates – Medical Aesthetics & Menopause

Tuesday 23rd April 2024
Tracey Dennison

Hello!  We’ve had a late start to the week following a family holiday but are back to it now with lots to tell you.

With regards all things Medical Aesthetics, we’ve been focusing on getting skin in tip-top condition for the summer.  For anyone struggling with skin dryness, wrinkles, sun damage and dullness; come and have a chat, there is a huge range of options available to improve skin quality, texture, appearance and hydration from simple (but clever) homecare through to a range of in-clinic options.

From a menopause perspective, we have a few updates;

  1. There have been some recent updates to recommended dosage of body-identical progesterone.  This is nothing to worry about and there is no urgency to change current regimes (unless there are problems) but for our menopause ladies, things may change slightly at your next review in light of the new guidance.
  2. We work with 2 wonderful Clinical Psychologists in the menopause space; Drs Jas and Rachel.  Menopause can often be extremely stressful and psychologically difficult to manage, alongside the physical challenges.  On Monday 20th May at 7:30pm, Drs Jas and Rachel are hosting a complementary webinar looking at wellbeing in the menopause.  This is a golden opportunity to pick up some top tips and get to know these lovely ladies a little better.  Book online here: A Port in a Storm: Conversations with Menopause Psychologists Tickets, Mon, May 20, 2024 at 7:30 PM | Eventbrite
  3. Also, our menopause ‘temperature check’ has had an update and refresh.  If you are wondering if you are potentially experiencing perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms take a look here for some further insights: The Wellbeing Performance Scorecard (scoreapp.com)

Finally, we just wanted to highlight that, should we ask you to send pictures to us for assessment purposes or in lieu of a treatment review, please can you do so via email (enquiries@eastridingaesthetics.co.uk or WhatsApp).  We cannot receive text messages with picture attachments on the clinic phones (we don’t know why but we just can’t). So to save any miscommunication email or WhatsApp are our preferred platforms for this.

Wishing you a wonderful week,

Tracey & the ERA&W team
